GLCF is seeking an energetic, self-driven, detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Loan Officer to support the Southeast Michigan market.
The Loan Officer’s responsibilities will be to develop new SBA 504 opportunities by growing and maintaining key referral sources within the market. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Generate 504 Loans in the designated market and meet annual loan goals.
- Market and promote GLCF’s loan programs by developing and fostering relationships with commercial lenders, small businesses, and economic development professionals.
- Work with our CRM system to track calls and leads.
- Presenting GLCF’s loan programs to groups and/or organizations.
- Meet with lenders, small business partners, and economic development professionals on new and existing projects.
- Be available to answer questions related to GLCF’s programs, and be able to act as lead on potential projects.
- Present opportunities to the Loan Committee and the Board of Directors.
- Assist throughout the SBA loan application and closing process.
Requirements
The person in this position should have at least a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field and at least three years of relevant lending experience, or three to six years of commercial lending experience. Working knowledge of the SBA programs would be very beneficial. Travel throughout designated counties is required for this position.
