The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Michigan District Office has recognized Great Lakes Commercial Finance (GLCF) as the state’s CDC Lender of the Year for Fiscal Year 2025. The award was presented to GLCF at the SBA Michigan Lender Awards Ceremony held at the Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The ceremony honored some of the most active SBA lenders across the state who provide capital to Michigan small businesses, with several other outstanding lending entities recognized across a variety of categories.
GLCF is extremely honored by this recognition and deeply appreciative of the small businesses and lending partners who made it possible.
About the Award
The CDC Lender of the Year award recognizes the best overall performance by a Certified Development Company in Michigan. To be considered, a CDC must demonstrate strong loan volume, year-over-year growth, expanded area coverage, and active participation in SBA programs and community activities. The CDC must also be in good standing with the SBA.
About GLCF
Founded in 1981, GLCF is one of only three Certified Development Companies (CDCs) in the State of Michigan and one of 175 in the nation. As a CDC, GLCF works with small businesses throughout Michigan to deliver the SBA 504 Loan Program, helping them secure long-term fixed-rate financing for 10, 20, or 25 years. GLCF also has the ability to lend in specific counties in Ohio and Indiana as well. The 504 Loan Program provides small businesses with access to capital to buy, build, or refinance fixed assets such as buildings, machinery, and equipment.
