Position Overview:
We are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our team full-time, 40 hours per week. This key role in our organization is responsible for servicing our existing loan portfolio and also assisting with closing duties when needed. The position ensures a smooth transition from loan approval to disbursal and provides ongoing support to borrowers throughout the loan lifecycle. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of loan processes to ensure compliance and exceptional customer service.
The Portfolio Manager reports to the Vice President of Closing and Servicing and is responsible for maintaining the efficiency and organization of borrower files, servicing requirements, and all servicing actions for the GLCF loan portfolio. The Portfolio Manager will also ensure the borrower’s files are up-to-date and compliant. This position will also be instrumental in dealing with auditor or independent loan reviews.

Servicing Responsibilities:

- Responsible for maintaining the efficiency and organization of borrower files, servicing requirements, and servicing actions.
- Handles loan servicing actions, which include subordinations, deferment requests, liquidations, pay-off requests, substitution/release/add collateral, assumptions, etc.
- Works within a tickler system to ensure that current information is obtained for each file; Request updated information as required by the SBA for the following:
- Required insurance(s) ex. Hazard, Life, Flood Ins.
- Annual tax returns & Financial Statements
- Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) financing statements
- Real Estate and Personal Property tax payments
- Job creation information
- Annually Risk Rate Loans in portfolio.
- Use a checklist for servicing actions to ensure that each file is complete and consistent.
- Maintain all files in the portfolio to ensure that they are organized in a consistent and easily accessible manner.
- Keep the loan management system up to date.
- Discharge documents after the loan is paid in full.

Closing Responsibilities as needed:

- Work with the Loan Officers to understand the project after a project has been approved.
- Assist in managing loan closing pipeline and reporting.
- Communicate with the lender and borrower regarding closing checklist items.
- Collect and review documents and organize files prior to closing.
- Perform pre-closing documentation reviews to ensure the accuracy of all due diligence items.
- Organizing documents for attorney review.
- Coordinate and attend loan closings.
- Complete follow-up on post-closing items and help prepare final Closing Books.
- Onboard loans into the system once a loan has been funded.
- Perform pre-closing documentation reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Handle special projects as they arise.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two years of commercial credit experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative capabilities.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
