Are you passionate about fostering relationships and driving financial growth? GLCF is seeking a full-time Loan Officer to serve the West Michigan market. In this role, you will spearhead the development and marketing of an assigned territory, utilizing various networking avenues to cultivate strong ties with commercial lenders. From assessing initial eligibility to shepherding projects through to funding, you will play a pivotal role in the loan process.

Responsibilities include for are not limited to:

      • Develop and market assigned territory through events, presentations, and networking.
      • Determine initial eligibility, credit, and loan structure of opportunities.
      • Collaborate with Third-Party Lender (TPL) and borrower to gather required application documentation.
      • Present the loan to one of GLCF’s Loan Committees as needed.
      • Address questions or issues from SBA in a timely manner .
      • Notify the lender and/or borrower of the approval.
      • Collaborating with the Closing Department to ensure smooth funding disbursement.

Requirements

The person in this position should have at least a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field and at least three years of relevant lending experience or three to six years of commercial lending experience.  Working knowledge of the SBA programs would be very beneficial.  Travel throughout designated counties is required for this position.  Other requirements and core competencies for this position include but are not limited to:

Compensation and Benefits:

      • Salary plus bonus based on loan volume;
