GLCF is excited to welcome John Laman to our team as a Loan Officer supporting Southeast Michigan.

Great Lakes Commercial Finance (GLCF) is excited to welcome John Laman to our team full-time as a Loan Officer supporting Southeast Michigan.

John has extensive commercial lending experience spanning 12 years, including work in commercial and industrial lending, SBA loans, and investment real estate.

John also brings a rich educational background, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Business Marketing from Western Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.

At GLCF, John will focus on boosting new SBA 504 loan originations in Southeast Michigan. He will also have the opportunity to deepen his knowledge of the SBA 504 Loan Program and strengthen relationships with lending partners on the east side of the state.

“I’m thrilled to join the amazing team at GLCF! The SBA 504 program provides substantial benefits to all parties involved in a transaction. I believe it is a win-win-win for the borrower, the bank and the community. Borrowers gain access to long-term fixed rate financing, banks mitigate transactional risk, and the community benefits through local investment and job creation. I’m excited to get started.”

When he’s not at work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and dog. During Michigan summers, you’ll find him escaping to Lake St. Clair with his family, where they spend their weekends boating.

“Our team is excited to welcome John to GLCF. His extensive education and experience in commercial lending make him an invaluable asset to our organization. We’re confident he will contribute significantly to GLCF’s growth and the continued expansion of the SBA 504 Loan Program,” said Gary Witkowski, VP of Business Development & Underwriting.
